I am a person-centred counsellor who works with clients to support each person through their own process and understanding of themselves and how they come across to others.
I am a facilitator in your process rather than leading it, however where needed I will support you with making decisions about how to start.
My ultimate aim is to work with you so that you no longer need my support and can navigate the world with resilience as well as feeling confident to ask for support where needed.
I work based on trust, honesty and openness.
I am a registered member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy and work within their ethical framework.
I primarily work with intersectional identities and the difficulties that can come with these.
My main areas of interest and experience are queer identities, gender identity (including cis, trans, enby, and intersex), poly relationships, families with mixed ethnic and/or religious backgrounds, growing up as a third culture child, disability/illness (including hidden), surviving domestic abuse and difficult parented relationships.
I also have a particular interest in the intersection of faith and sexuality/gender (especially Islam) and a lot of experience in supporting parents and partners of trans+ people through their unique and specific journeys, as well as training and experience in supporting those with borderline personality disorder.
I work online over video call only.
The initial 20 minute consultation is free and allows us to decide if we want to work together in a counselling setting.
After this sessions are 50 minutes each.
Sessions are £40 for daytime and £45 for evening.
I am open to working with any kind of client, regardless of lifestyle and history. I do however only work with people who are over 18 and living in the UK.
You can get in contact with me by email or the contact form on this website. I respond to all enquiries received through email or web contact within a week, unless taking time off.
Please note that given the nature of counselling, I am often unable to answer the telephone.
My data privacy notice is available on the contact me page.
